Friday, October 15th: Dogmatics play live at Magic Room with special guests Gypsy Moths opening the night!
The Dogmatics are a legendary garage-punk band from the Boston area, formed in the 1980s. They don't play out often but when they do, they still pack venues all over the state and leave their fans begging for more. They released their first new recording in over 30 years on Rum Bar Records in 2019. Come join the party and sing along to 'Thayer Street', 'Gimme the Shakes', 'Sister Serena' and new instant classics like 'She's The One'. Shit, they may even break out 'X-Mas Time (Sure Don't Feel Like)' a couple months early if you scream loud enough and buy them some drinks.
The Gypsy Moths are a Boston-based sextet rolling out garage soul floor fillers since the summer of 2014. The band’s debut LP “Alright!” from summer 2018 included two “singles of the week” that were featured on the Genya Ravan and Rodney Bingenheimer radio programs on Sirius XM’s “Underground Garage” channel, and their 2020 recording “Wollaston Theatre” (available on vinyl & digital formats) was a critically acclaimed independent radio hit across the globe, with top ten chart placements on terrestrial, streaming, and satellite stations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The band are thrilled to be back at it with shows across the Boston area, and plans for a new set of recordings later this Fall.
